Bugs crawling sensation under skin after vaccine

I went on non hormonal birth control after getting vaccinated and these weird sensations stated occurring...the bugs crawling everywhere, violent muscle spasms and twitches, feeling sluggish and fatigued 24/7. I have other weird symptoms too...internal surges and tremors, constant internal vibrations, feeling like washing machine on spin inside of me, carbonated bubbles moving through my muscles I even feel it in gums and teeth and eyes. All scans and tests are clear. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Yes. I've had sensation of tingling, vibrations, nervesspasms and feeling like electric currents run through my body developing after I had my first covid jab last spring. I had nerve conduction studies and MRI come back clear, then saw a private neurologist who thought it was an inflammatory small fibre issue, probably caused by a vaccine or an infection (didn't have any infections around that time). He arranged for a skin biopsy with a different neurologist, which confirmed this. Both think it was likely caused by the COVID vaccine (but had I been ill with COVID, that could also have caused it, so goodness knows if I'd been any better off without the jab)

Are you better now? Or you're still affected by it?

I am a bit better than I was. I have been told things may settle down by themselves, but it could take a while. I have been offered to try a course of steroids to see if that would help, but I'm not too keen on the potential sideeffects, so for now I'll wait and see. My GP has said I may be feeling better because of the warmer weather and things could get worse again in the winter. I'll just have to wait and see.

Okay do you mind keeping me updated if you can? I really want to know what it could be.

Sadly, hearing an update from me in 6 months, a year or longer is not going to help you much though. Many things can cause those symptoms so you need to push for blood tests, MRI, neurologist referral etc to find a cause. They don't always find it either I'm sorry to say. I reached a dead end with the NHS, and ended up going private.

Good luck with it. It is exhausting feeling like this 💐

DD(16) had her booster on Thursday and has felt unwell with lower back pain and has the sensation of "ants under her skin".

I'm really concerned after reading both your situations.

She's also on microgynon for heavy periods but has been for about 12 months.
