Hi,
I am a 41 year old woman who has been trying to start a family for 7 years. I have been diagnosed with endometriosis, fibroids, hypothyroidism and hashimotos, I am also in peri menopause. After a series of catastrophies and disappointments we decided to use an egg donor in one last attempt. I got pregnant last year and miscarried on week 7. I finally feel ready to try one of our remaining 2 embryos but am incredibly nervous as I’ve recently been diagnosed with chronic idiopathic urticaria which is where my immune system is attacking my skin.
I feel I am running out of time and I don’t trust the NHS to treat me as a whole as they seem to have a one size fits all process. In my last pregnancy they didn’t even check my thyroid levels!
i would love some advice on any London based fertility clinics I could use where a doctor has an understanding of autoimmune disease and implantation / pregnancy.
I want to make the best choices as this is my last shot at having my own child and I don’t want to squander it.
has anyone else had a successful pregnancy with hashimotos? Do you have any suggestions.

any help would be greatly appreciated x

thanks😁

Hi Mad you're better off asking this on the infertility board. I think there is a long running thread of there for people with auto immune diseases.

I am infertile and have Hashimotos but I just gave up after five years of trying and ivf. My sister, who also has thyroid issues, had successful ivf with a clinic on Harley street, the evewell it was called. She had to have several rounds but they got a much better response than her nhs rounds, good luck!

Hello, you could also try Zita West . I’m waiting to test after a fet so I don’t know if their treatment has worked for me yet but they did listen to my concerns re auto immune and ordered extra tests and changed my protocol accordingly.

Hi - I am at Kings Fertility. Went private for exact same reasons as you. I have MS. If you want to chat I am here.

Thanks so much @79andnotout I’ll give the clinic a shout. Unfortunately I was recently made redundant to add fuel to the fire so money is tight but this will be worth it if it works! Mx

Hello MAD, would you mind giving an update? Would be interested in knowing where you went/what clinics were recommended to you?
