IBD? Struggling with these symptoms

I will be seeing a dr about this in the NY.

I've had an issues with my gut on and off for a number of years, after I had my first child 9 yes ago.

It definitely improved during and after my second pregnancy, and was a little better for a while.

I'm also peri menopausal and recently started hrt patches which has helped some symptoms. I have hypothyroidism so I was actually always used to being constipated prior to this. (And non allergic asthma so I'm clearly autoimmuny.)

Im having a particularly bad flare where I have loose stools but the main issue is the fatigue and feeling extremely inflamed inside, especially around my hips, si joint, a little up my spine and shoulders. I don't actually feel I've been great since my booster 2 weeks ago.

I've also had an issue with meat for some years whereby it would shoot through me (I'd ache too) and now it's extremely noticeable if I each meat that my joints ache the next day. Particularly pelvis. I can feel briefly feverish sometimes though wasn't sure if a hot sweat. Fatty foods are also bad at times.

I've also associated certain other foods as being helpful or bad, too much insoluble fibre doesn't help but porridge and oats are my favourite staple as I feel so much calmer! White bread and rice too.

Then I can have phases where I'm fine.

I'd actually thought this was all peri related but I'm no wondering if I should see a Gp? I've never been aware of blood, very rarely mucus but I don't especially look. Not having any blood has meant ive never especially thought it more than a bit of ibs. It's linking it to the joint pain that's made me query it.

I've really struggled today and not been the best mum to my toddler.

Ask your dr for a calprotectin stool test. It’s very good as showing whether it’s IBS or IBD.
