Educating family on coeliac disease

Hi
I'm after some videos that I can share with family and friends so they understand about coeliac. I developed it a few years ago and have unfortunately been 'glutened' by family accidentally when they didn't really understand cross contamination.
I want to get across that it actually causes damage each time I'm glutened and it isn't just 'hypochondria'
Thanks

Thanks, I have shared some of those resources but they haven't done the trick.
Videos are best because there are some language barriers. I haven't seen any good videos yet.

Although coeliac U.K. are fab and I'm a member - they have helped me so much

OP, maybe post your question on the autoimmune board? You might get more responses.

Which language would work best for your family? I'm afraid though some people just can't get their head round the idea that you aren't going to die from being glutened, but it does cause damage and suffering each time

@CMOTDibbler thanks , yes I think that's it. Not like an allergy where there could be a visit to A&E etc. Just significant fatigue and GI symptoms for days.
Spanish would be ideal.

@IslandLulu thanks, didn't know there was an autoimmune board!

We're moving this thread over to our Autoimmune topic for the OP and giving it a bump to get it back into Active Conversations.

Not sure about videos, but FACE (Federación de Asociaciones de Celiacos de España) have information in Spanish:
celiacos.org/

@DogInATent thanks I'll pass that on
