Anyone else suffer with this side effect? I'm on 400mg Hydroxychloroquine a day and the weight keeps going on, no matter what I do. Is it just me?

Nope, started at a size 14 20 odd years ago now a 24. Dosnt matter what I do.

Yeah. The pounds are piling on. I’m a 16 now having been a 10-12 all my life. Just one of those things. I’d rather be fat and otherwise feel ok than go back to how I was before diagnosis.

No. Wasn’t my experience
There was no difference to my weight

I have been taking it on and off for 12 years. When I am hydroxychloroqunine my weight is lower than off it.

@Justonedayatatime11 recently came off hydroxy as I realised I had gained 10kg in a year of taking it and was struggling to loose weight. The weight has started coming off but my joints have feared to serverly .

Definitely upwards for me.

I have been on hydroxychloroquine for 10 years. The last 4 years I have put on 6 stone after being 12 stone for years. I put it down to starting roactemra but I've since stopped that as ttc so now feel it could be hydroxychloroquine. I may drop it to see as it's not currently helping my RA.
