Anyone else suffer with this condition. I am flaring right now, got a golf ball sized abscess on my bum and it is killing me. Tried lidocaine, vicks, magnesium sulphate and a sterile needle, it just fills up again.
No point in taking antibiotics they don’t change anything, don’t really want to go to A&E either.
It is really getting me down

Yes I have this is a fucking misery. I've asked the doctor (just today) to try me on long term Antibiotics. This level of pain and discomfort on a daily basis isn't worth it .

I've ended up in hospital with one, and at A and E for 2 so i feel your pain.

Last year in Greece I had one on holiday and thought I was going to end up in hospital. I got this antiseptic cream I dread running out.

I usually try a combination of savlon cream and mag sulphate alternated to try get it to resolve itself.

I need to read your post Again

I would strongly advise against a needle 🤯

That's awful it keeps filling up Again. I had a perennial absess I ended up in hospital with when I was 16 (not included in the above, forgot about it)

The right type of antibiotics should help although at this stage they may advise surgery if the tract keeps filling. Not what you want to hear I know

I have suffered with this for almost 30 years, feeling at the end of my tether a bit now. The needle did get quite a lot of gunk out but like I said it is refilling. Just taken both lots of painkillers to try and sleep.
I have tried all the pills and potions from the derm, nothing worked, I have had upwards of 20 surgeries including a vulvectomy.
Normally I cope but this one is so big and in a spot that every time I move it makes me shout a bit.
Praying it goes over night

My god it sounds like you've had a terrible time of it. Few would realise how debilitating this condition is and how painful the uhhhh absesses 🤷‍♂️ can be. I really feel for you but I know the relief feeling. There's a tipping point and it's not a nice place to be in, where you really know you should be in or at a hospital and you just cross your fingers that it will resolve itself 😘
