If my potassium was high one time but not at another? No other symptoms.

I have ulcerative colitis already.

As I understand it, high blood K results are often a test error caused by rupture of red blood cells. (Discovered when DH had a high K result when in hospital following major major surgery.)

So I think the answer is possible but unlikely.

High potassium goes with low sodium in Addison's.

Thanks both. Hopefully it was just a lab error.

Addisons usually makes you feel very ill , if you have no other symptoms I would doubt it .

Thanks Flora. Hopefully it won't come back raised again.
