Coeliac - how long before feeling better?

DD has been gluten free for 3 weeks which I appreciate isn't very long. Her skin is better and she hasn't complained of headache and stomachache anywhere near as often as before. She's still really struggling with bone and joint pain though. How long before we assume this is a symptom of something other than coeliac? I guess we're being a bit impatient!

Has she had her vitamin d levels tested? Bone pain along with joint soreness are classic vitamin d deficiency symptoms.

Yes, she's had a course of treatment for that.

My daughter was diagnosed at the beginning of May, and has been GF since then. She is feeling a bit better - not complaining of tiredness so often, has a bit more colour. But definitely not 100% yet. Apparently it can take a while.
Have you joined the Coeliac Children UK Facebook group? Lots of very experienced Coeliac parents on there! Has your DD had her vitamin B12 levels checked as well?
