Steroid injection in knee..reassurance needed

New to this..I got a steriod injection in my knee yesterday, I have rhuematoid arthritis..last time I got a steriod injection it got infected and I was in hospital for 2 weeks on iv antibiotics and then 6 weeks oral antibiotics after. I’m so scared it’ll happen again, any advice??

I've had loads of steroid injections and they've never got infected, so you were just really unlucky, there's no reason for it to happen again.

It does sound like you were very unlucky. I've had them lots of times and never had an infection.
