Lupus & weird rashes in winter only

Hoping someone here may be able to help me work out what my weird rashes are because my rheumatologist & GP are stumpedHmm

I have lupus & every year in the winter I get a strange red/purple coloured itchy rash on the top of my lower legs. It only appears in the winter & only itches in the evening. This year I also seem to have it under my toes & on the top of my big toe too.

I've seen my consultant & GP who have no idea but my consultant gave me a steroid injection last year to see if it helped (it didn't).

Has anyone experienced similar?

My step father has lupus and he's always got some of these marks, usually on his arms. The kids can literally only slightly bump him and one comes up

I'm being investigated for autoimmune stuff and have the same rash on my fingers/toes but only in the summer. Mine is associated with being too hot- any chance you are wrapping up warm/using hot water bottles and getting too warm?

Only just come back to this. Thank you for the replies. I've googled chilblain lupus images and think it may be this. Any tips for treatments?

Same treatment as Reynauds usually so calcium channel blockers eg nifedipine. Discuss it with your rheumatologist or if you’re not happy ask for another opinion.
