Hypothyroidism advice / specialist recommendations desperately needed

I've got many of the symptoms for hypothyroidism the most troublesome being my depression and energy levels which seem to be getting worse. I've tried numerous anti-depressants and I'm increasingly coming to the view that its worth exploring possible hypothyroidism as a possible cause.

My psychiatrist has suggested T3 as a possible treatment but first wants me to try a few other meds first.

My GP has tested me for TSH which was 1.48 miu/L and so in the normal range of 0.4-4. She won't undertake any more thyroid tests but I believe there are other tests available?

Could any one give me some advice and recommendations of someone I could see privately in London?

You could try the thyroid finger pick blood tests from blue horizons or medicheck. www.medichecks.com/thyroid-health first. That way you can discuss accurate results. They send it to your home and you return by post. You get the results in a couple of days.
