A little background.
I was hospitalised in the summer with myopericarditis (swelling of both the heart muscle and heart sac). I had been back and forward for 2+ yrs to the GP with chronic migraine, chronic pain and chronic fatigue as well as other random swellings and symptoms. Because I have C-PTSD and am autistic, it was put down to my mental health until this happened in the summer.
Although the cardiologist I am under has said he has no doubt that my issues are auto-immune, I am still waiting to see a rheumatologist to find out what type. Since I had my menopause 15 years ago (surgically induced after an emergency hysterectomy), I am also back to dramatic hot flushes for no apparent reason (hence the query over fibro).
Does anyone have any coping tips at all? I'm on amiltriptyline and pain meds which help manage some of the pain issues (and the insomnia to some extent), but however wacky, I'm willing to try anything right now: my fatigue and ability to concentrate are also seriously suffering. (I realise waiting 6 months+ for a diagnosis isn't helping me cope either. I don't do well without information at the best of times). I've had a 4 week flare that really isn't helping my mood tbh, especially since a lot of it has been really painful eczema on the scalp and IBS.
Any suggestions?
