Hi everyone

Just wondering if there are any other Mums out there living with lupus.

I was diagnosed about 5 years ago so I am very used to the ups and downs that comes with it. I have always very much been a get on with it type of person and make little noise or fuss about it and as I said just get on with whatever it brings.

This summer I had a gorgeous little girl and I couldn't be happier, she is 4 months already and is a healthy happy baby! ♡

Just this week I have started to struggle again with my joints and just had news from the doctors that I need another bone scan and that my cortisol levels are too low, so need more tests and even more steroids!

I know I am just having a bad day and will be back to my usual self soon enough but is anyone else dealing with the joys of lupus whilst looking after a little one? Think I just need a pick me up and would love to chat to someone else who understands! x

Hey! I read your post the day you posted it and wasn't signed up on mumsnet but now I finally am. I had tears flowing down my cheeks reading this because I could absolutely relate to this. I got diagnosed with my condition (lymphocytic hypophysitis) like a year and half ago during my first pregnancy.

To say it's been the toughest time of my life is an understatement. I know what you're going through and I know how it feels. It's crap most days and still feel like you're never going to be yourself. I feel like an old old woman. My joints aching, bones cracking, flank pain, mental fog, FATIGUE!!!

Have you had bone density done? I haven't maybe it's too early. I take hydrocortisone. Which steroids do you take and how many mgs?

Congrats on your baby girl. They're amazing I have a daughter as well. Wish you well and hang in there.
