Hashimotos flare up

Does anyone else with hashimotos have massive flare ups? I've been medicated for 7 years, blood tests are generally ok (tsh between 0.5 and 2.5). But for the last three weeks I feel like I've been hit by a bus - zero energy, sleeping 10-12 hours but still feel like I could fall asleep mid morning, constant headache, cold, low mood.
Does anyone else get this? I thought the medication was supposed to stop the big swings. Is there any solution?

I don't think that sounds like a flare up. More like you are undermedicated. Once on levothroxine you need to get your tsh to 1 or under. You need a blood test and include testing for iron, vit d, v12 and folate as these are often compromised with hashimotos. You need to know your ft4 and ft3. You'll find more advice on healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk.

Thanks for the reply. I think I have been adequately medicated, I've maintained tsh around 1 on 175mcg of levothyroxine for several years. I'm thinking it's a flare up because I'm taking the same amount of medication but feeling massively worse.
