Hashimoto's and potential thyroid cancer - likely?

I originally posted in general health, but have just spotted this top and am wondering if anyone here has been in a similar situation.r

I have now had 3 consultant appointments- apparently I have a high level of antibodies. (187) Although the consultant didn't use the term, reading up afterwards, it would appear she thinks I have Hashimotos.

My original appointment was for a nodule, which tests show is Level 3 so not obviously malignant , but it is normally recommended to remove those. I also have other nodules which showed up on ultrasound. Nothing has changed since I spotted the lump last autumn

I am still waiting to hear what are the options might be after my case has been discussed by the thyroid team.

Presumably I would be very unlucky to have both - and I have no thyroid symptoms at all. So very reluctant to have a thyroid op if I don't need one. (Especially in the summer - love windsurfing!)

Does anyone have any experience similar to this?
