I live in the UK but an old uni friend of mine lives in Aus (west coast) and had a baby a couple of weeks ago. I would like to send her something but not sure where would be a good place to send from?

Is there a department store that I could send something from? Or even a UK company that has a franchise in AUS? Or am I better doing a bank transfer/sending something via RoyalMail?

FWIW my sister is in the US and can get M&S clothes deliveries etc so is something like this an option?

Bonds is a classic Australia brand, and sell lovely baby clothing (grows, leggings, etc) in all manner of designs. If you sign up to their club you get preferential shipping rates.

Australia also has a lot more local stores than I find we have here in the UK. It may be worth searching for children's stores near where your friend lives and seeing if they do or can do delivery.

I have no idea why my post up thread received a message saying my post was being hidden until MNHQ could look behind the scenes ?😕

To recap incase it's somehow blocked! I've posted gifts baby gifts to Aus via royal mail for years. I think M&S deliver there and friends there have always appreciated baby gifts which aren't readily available in Aus and a bit different.

The things I listed above with links, but I won't include the links incase that was why my post was pulled?

-Matchstick monkey teething toys
-Tuppence and crumble star wrap things. A lighter, cotton one if your friend lives in Western Aus because they are coming into spring/summer there
-Baby grows with different patterns/wording

Next deliver to Australia. I agree that is is lovely to get something from another country. Remember the seasons are the other way round though!

Depending on her taste have a look at Halcyon Nights. They have fun and colourful clothing for babies and young children and are an Australian brand.

My uk sibling used to send me clothes from next. It was lovely to have something different to everyone else

That would be my recommendation
