What to send to Aussie friends?

I have good friends in Australia from when I worked there, and would like to send them something for Christmas. I know customs restrictions are tight, but was thinking tea or chocolate, but open to suggestions. Something from Harrods? I thought about scarves, but not sure they'd get much chance to wear them. What would you like sent from England?

What's your budget, I send UK food via British Corner Shop. It will be summer there so cotton pajama or dressing gown?

I would send t-towels. Light to post and useful. Also a calendar of England or the Countryfile calendar with gorgeous photos of wildlife.

Custom restrictions are one thing. Sodding import duty is another. They may have to pay to get your lovely gift out of the post office.

Thanks for the ideas. Budget is up to about £50.

@GwenGhost I've posted things to Aus for years and never has the recipient had to pay any import duty! Is this a very new thing? Or for things over $XXX?

Oops I looked it up and it looks like if the gift is worth less than 1000 AUD then there’s no import duty. I thought it was lower - for NZ the limit is a tenth of that. And Europe charge import duty on everything from the UK since brexit which is a huge pain.

Where in Australia? It does get cold in the south. They have snow and can ski there.

And actually sending gifts to the UK the recipient has to pay VAT if it’s worth more than 39pounds and VAT and Customs duty if it’s worth more than 139pounds an those limits include the cost of postage. But sending from UK to AUS is much less problematic. My mistake.
