Where to buy big pumpkins for baby photoshoot

Hi All,

So I'm a little addicted to Pinterest and have seen some brilliant (and some not-so-brilliant, haha!) photos of babies in pumpkins. As it's the right season I'd love to take a pic of my little one in a pumpkin - the trouble is he's now getting on for 23lbs, SO I need to find one big enough for him to be able to get in and out of comfortably as I want happy photos rather than grumpy "I'm uncomfortable and I look daft, mum" photos!

Does anyone have any recommendations of where I can get hold of bigger than normal pumpkins? Sainsbury's / Tesco / ASDA / Morrisons / other? Living near Bedford so maybe local recommendations too? We normally buy a small one to put a tealight in every year but this is a different challenge so thought I'd see if any lovely mummies out there have done this already and where you can recommend Smile Thank you!!

Peter Peter used to have pumpkins big enough to put adults in. Might be worth a try?

Having helped at a pumpkin photo shoot, I would make sure you're somewhere warm. You can heat up the pumpkin with a hot water bottle or hairdryer. Try to get as much of the slimey stuff out.
I think we got our pumpkins from Sainsburys?

Ooh good call LikeTheShoes on the warm thing - I'm planning on doing it indoors for a start, and was thinking about putting muslins inside the pumpkin to try and make it a bit more comfy too!

gratesnakes - what's Peter Peter? Adult sized??? Shock Hahaha!!
