I went and was pretty surprised by how much I loved it. I took my very non-crafty friend along and she loved it too from the sociological perspective.

I didn't get to see the Wandsworth video - we were being dragged out the door at closing time - but the quilt was blooming amazing. So thought provoking. I loved the interview with the woman from the rural industries.

Also, I didn't realise that you weren't allowed to stand on the platform where the beds were made up? I couldn't see the detail and stepped onto one and this MEGA LOUD alarm went off. Nearly died of embarrassment

I went with my 4 week old baby - I dragged DH down to London from Gloucestershure and he and DS1 went to see the Dinosaurs while I manhandled my pram round the exhibition. Well worth the effort...loved the Grayson Perry one the best. I had pre ordered the book so had seen it in print but the real mccoy was way better. Funnily enough despite being a fabricaholic I didnt buy any fat quarters, I didn't really like the fsbric but I got the little house mug instead. Fabulous to see quilts in the mainstream - too long have they hidden in the shadows!!
