Do the Tesco value ones work?

Are you trying to get high or do arts and crafts?

Trying to do crafts but it rains like last year for 6 weeks getting high maybe the more favourable option.

I've bought normal tesco glue sticks before and they were good. Not tried value. Their value pencils are crapola.

Go for prit stick. I have tried cheaper and they dry out far too easily, always buy prit stick now.
