DD under treadle...weavers how do you work with lo?

14m dd is very interested in what I'm doing and always wants to be under the loom looking at things 'go.' Cue mashed hands and sudden 'stoppages' or 'releases' in the warp. Either that or she's trying to unwind my shuttles...
I've tried giving her her own shuttles and chunky yarn to play with apparently she's into finer threads .
What do I do?
I don't want to 'lock her up' and I find I'm too tired at night to weave after she's gone to bed (plus I like weaving in natural light).
Anyone got any pointers?

How do you those of you who sew manage?

tv, interesting toy, rustly fabric, sew in very short bursts, have partner take them out.

it can be hard while they are little but I find I have to do things in short bursts and it will take longer to finish anything. thats why i like hand sewing and embroidery these days as its easy to pic up and put down and is very portable.
