Present for teacher/TA

DS1 is leaving his class to move to another one in September.

He is making his teacher a cross stitched bookmark, but I am stuck for ideas for the two TAs in the class.

It would be nice if it was something handmade, but I also want it to be useful.

Also his talents aren't vast (he is a 7 year old boy) and we only have 4 weeks left till the end of term.

The fall back idea is bags of HM fudge, but I would be really grateful if anyone has a better idea!

Bake them something - biscuits or cupcakes?

I like the fudge idea.

What about a brooch made out of Fimo?

Or terracotta plant pots, which your DS could paint and then plant herbs in for the TAs..

can't he make a cross stich bookmark for all of them?

I'd love to be given fudge tbh.

Fudge idea was already used at Christmas (and will probably be used again this Christmas as I have invested in a lot of festive cellophane bags and I have 3 DC with teachers and TA's to cater for!

I don't want to do bookmarks for all 3 as I want to differentiate between the "proper" teacher and the TAs IYSWIM.

DS1 himself has come up with the idea of doing cross stitch keyrings so I think we might give them a go.

I have just come across...

This pot of gold is just for you, To wish that all your dreams come true

I was thinking about finding some cheap gold coloured bubble bath, some gold coins/chocs and a lottery lucky dip or scratch card.

oh bloody hell, its that time of year isn't it. dd has a young male teacher who is utterly ace. I will have to chat with her in the am about what he might like.

Jam would be good to make - you can get cheap punnets of strawberries from the market to make it.
