I want to make some colourful Tshirts for DD, well buy the t-shirts and make and sew some cute things to go on the front 'boden style'

is this sort of thing what I'm looking for?

will it wash well?

You could pre-wash the felt so it's shrunk and run before it's on the t-shirt. It might still run onto a paler t-shirt, though.

Hefty postage on that listing.

Would cotton or cord or denim appliques be as cute? less likely to run and you could recycle from old clothes.

I'd avoid the felt for the reasons above and that it can bobble after washing. You'd be better off with cottons. You could also use ribbon trims to add colour. I bought some cheap and cheerful plain t-shirts in Asda for 75p each. Wash them before stitching as they may well shrink a bit though.

Thankyou! found a bundle of fabrics on ebay that I love but this could end up being expensive
