..and I'm scared! It's a vintage/craft/flea market, I have various bits and bobs I have found in charity shops and ebay or made(some lovely old books, china teacups, vintage hats (although thinking of embellishing them with some vintage lace), brooches made from vintage lace and buttons/broken necklaces, hairclips covered in vintage offcuts, little novelties made from felt, some vintage games) but I have no idea what I am doing! I have basically being getting/making stuff that I would like to buy, not really expecting to make much money, but will be good to see what is popular.

Anyway, any pointers for the craft fair novice?

Business cards so people know where to get in touch?Range of different prices.
Things to tart up your display
Plenty of change
Bowl of sweets to encourage people to stop and linger

I've never done a craft fair but have helped at several fundraising ones. It's usually the people selling the smaller stuff that do well. Good luck!

Practice laying out your stall before you go. Don't overcrowd the stall, group things and don't feel you have to put everything out. Make sure everything is labelled with a price. Have tissue paper or some such to wrap things in, maybe also a sticky label with you name on to stick 'parcels' together. Smile and chat to people, ask what they're looking for etc

Good luck, its great fun . Doing my next one on the 17th June and can't wait!

Hello - hope this isn't too late for your craft fair. Are you familiar with Etsy at all? There's a good thread in the community that discusses what you might want to consider when doing a craft fair. Here it is...

I did a fair a few months ago and found the list/advice quite useful.

Good luck with the fair!
