No. on a standard printer, white is just no ink (ie just the background paper colour)

jayzmummy · 06/08/2005 15:30

Oh well....no black backgrounds for me then!!!

Does silver show up? I don't think it would but maybe worth a go.

mumtosomeone · 06/08/2005 15:34

you could use yellow ink or bright pink?

SoupDragon · 06/08/2005 15:35

You can, of course, print white lettering on a black background on white card... if that makes sense! Uses a lot of black ink though!!

mandyc66 · 06/08/2005 15:55

what are you wanting to print?

Dingle · 06/08/2005 16:21

Could you print off and emboss using white embossing powder? I thought about this a few weeks back when I was making up mini "black-chalk boards" for the teacher's thank you cards! Let us know if that works!

I gave up on the idea.....the white text on a black background is the only way to go and as SD said it uses loads of black ink.

I had an idea for making a christmas card and the white text on black card would have looked good...but hey ho! the idea has been shelved until another day!
