Jazzy Jars

So DS1 and DS2 both have to make a 'jazzy jar' for the school fun day. I need an original, fun idea. The jars get sold for £1 each so I don't want to spend too much making it, and I want it to be something they will enjoy making and be proud of, and something their friends will want to buy.
Help!!! Any ideas out there??

Is it an empty decorated jar or is it filled with stuff?

From experience at dd's school jazzy jars sell like hotbread without you having to do too much with them - fill them with assortment of sweets, small toys, balloons, hair bands, bottles of bubbles, more sweets. Some children decorate them but probably not necessary. If you really want to help to raise money try to make as many as you can (have a clear out of your dc's unplayed with party bag stuff, small toys etc) bcos they are sure sellers.
