lol! fiskars have updated their cutter now, the blade adjusts itself so you dont have to. also meant to be smoother. make sure you get one of the new ones if you sucum(sp)

Whizzz · 28/07/2005 19:35

Excuse me for being dim & a novice - but what does it do ? Do you use the cutter inside the stencil ?

katzguk · 28/07/2005 19:47

yep, its like drawing round it but instead it cuts so you get nice sharp images, its great for scrapbooking

I looked!!! No, I am not even tempted! I will just get more dies for my sizzix!

ooohh...The Paper Mill Shop is calling me...I can hear it..."Dingle,Dingle,come and buy more paper, more stamps, more..more!!"

I will resist, I will resist, and she rushes off muttering to herself that she must get this knitting order done!

Whizzz · 30/07/2005 18:01

Give me a round of applause please - all I bought was a HUGE amount of lovely parchement-y type paper (goodness knows what I am going to do with so much BUT it was only 50p- anyone want some???), and 3 sheets of card - gold, hologaphic & matallic blue 20p each !

gscrym · 31/07/2005 14:32

I've got one and have thrown it across my cupboard in temper more than once. It seems good with paper but I cn't get the chuffing thing to work on card. Any tips anyone?

champs · 01/08/2005 14:52

lol dingle!
whizzz -- you are a stronger woman than i

gscrym -- I haven't got one so no tips, is it the older model you've got? Did you adjust the blade? Could you send it back to fiskars and get a new one?

Dingle · 01/08/2005 16:56

I have heard comments that the old ones were rather tricky to get on with gscrym. I thought that was pssibly why the newer version had come out.

I have never used one myself so can't offer much advice, but from what I can remember a common mistake to make was using the template thingy upside down!(???) Does that make any sense?
