Blackout Mesh Fabric - where on earth can you get it?

I really want some blackout mesh - actually its probably not completely blackout but it will block light - what I mean is the stuff that is used for buggies as sunshades.

What I dont want is blackout fabric used to line curtains which is extremely heavy. I cant find anything online that looks similar, and there certainly isnt anything in the shops round here.

Any ideas?

have you tried the hardware shop or garden centre?

i recently bought some bug screens for my windows off ebay, mine are white but they come in black also but not sure this is think enough for you.

i know exactly where i can buy it back home, unfortunately you do not have quite so much sun as we do in queensland.

You want Point North. You could probably stitch yourself a circus marquee from their catalogue

Point North. They will post samples.

reminds me I need to place an order as DH has commissioned me to make some sort of storm door for our tent.

moocow thanks - thats a good idea - hadnt thought of trying garden centre or hardware shop.

tootired - thank you - I think that mesh at the top of the list is what I'm after. Will get a sample from them.

ooh I love it when you get helpful responses
