Help ! ds (4) needs a tree costume for school on friday and I need some ideas please

Theme is rainforest and ds is supposed to be a tree. We have brown trousers and a green top, so far so good and am about to go into town to buy green and brown crepe paper but that is where my inspiration ends. What do I do with the crepe paper? all ideas gratefully received...

You can get twigs from outside and stick them onto him. Or cut the crepe paper into leaf shapes and stick them onto his top. For my dd I made a true dress- a shift dress out of a brown piece of material and I sewed on felt leaves and flowers and butterflies.

You could make a bird's nest as a hat
