My rather lovely friend is desperate to have a candle that smells like a perfume she wears. As it is her birthday in a couple of weeks I would like to get her a kit but they all seem either really tacky or childish.
She is quite crafty and also quite stylish so I would like to get a more professional type starter kit that can be a neutral colour/ style.

But aside from the look of it all and the use etc is it even possible to scent it with just regular perfume/aftershave and if so how much would you use? I know you can buy perfumed candles from certain perfume ranges but the couple she particularly likes don't do a candle or they are 'names' and are therefore really expensive. But then so is tipping perfume into molten wax if it doesn't work!!!

I know this is a bit of a ramble but I would really like to be able to do this as she has been an amazing friend over the last few years.

Thanks crafters!!

i would go hobby craft as they do a set for adults and i made perfume candles for sis with her favourite scent i just sprayed it whilst it was wet and then when dry and works as she light it when having a bath as she just had a baby

ok, you have a couple of choices - you could figure out what the top notes of the perfume are and then make a candle with those notes

or if it's one of the Jo Malone scents you can get the oils and add it to the waxhere

Thanks both. will have a good look thru that site Laurie. Tiggergirl nearest Hobbycraft is about an hour away, a shame really but better for my bank balance!!
