...any ideas???

I had thought of just drawing eggs and chicks and cutting them out and stcking them onto cards, but that seems a but rubbish

I would also really like to make easter gifts with him this year, for his grandparents etc but have NO idea either what to make or how to make it!

Help!

How about using potato prints to make yellow chicks? I once did this with my children, only it was Christmas and we used black and white paint and made penguins. They were really effective though.

You could use roundish potatoes and yellow paint. Get ds to stamp the prints on cards you have prefolded, or stamp onto paper and then cut out the paper and stick on card. When the prints have dried, ds can draw on some simple legs and eyes, and then he could stick on tiny beaks cut out of red paper. The wonderful thing with children's art is that nothing has to be straight or perfect. Even the wonkiest penguins got sent when we did them!

The potato idea is good, also you could try basket shaped cards (cut yourself from a template, or I notice the range and a few other places now stock them ready cut), and doing weaving with either paper or ribbon- I did that with ds2 when he was 6 and he loved doing it, and found it easy enough.

You could also try basic glass design using acetates (ebay, hobbycraft, anywhere) and permanent OHP markers: mount in a card with an aperture, easy to trace easter designs onto those but effective.

For the gifts, I we're doing egg boxes filled with choc crispy cakes, but you might like looking at the baker ross website for ideas?

If, like me, you are rubbish at anything creative, yellow moon is brilliant for buying ready cut/shaped/sticky things
