At the toddler group I take DD to we've now all got to take turns planning supervising the art activity for a sessio.

Just wondered if anyone had any good suggestions. The kids are mainly 2-3year olds.

Any advice gratefully received!

I go to a toddler group and they always have an activity on. Simple things like getting some paper plates and sticking with glue and sprinkling glitter etc. Cut out basic shapes to make houses, people etc. Chalks are a good one. One time we had a colour theme each week and on yellow week we made knickerbockerglories, we used jelly, custard, bananas and anything else yellow, let the kids put all the stuff into cheap plastic 'wine' glasses and then they got to eat it. They loved that. You could make mobiles from paper plates, paper and string. Masks from paper plates, there is actually a lot you can do with paper plates . When is comes to mothers/fathers day/easter or any other occasion, you can do cards. HTH!

How about printing with fruit & veg - eg half apples, potato prints etc. If you cut okra can make a good lacy pattern.

How about using paper plates, paint and pipe cleaners to make spiders - probably an idea best for Halloween, mind you.
