Fancy dress ideas?

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but hoped all you creative types might be able to give me some ideas?

DS (3) is having a dress up day at Nursery on Friday, raising money for the Haiti disaster. Can anyone give me some ideas on a quick and easy outfit to put together on a budget?

Asda have some cheap dressing up in at the moment, Mr and Litle Miss characters which are quite cute.

Pirate is quite easy
Cut an old pair of jeans with jagged ends, and same to a t-shirt. Bit of facepaint and make an eye patch out of black paper. Even a telescope out of a kitchen roll tube.

The pirate idea is great, I think I would've defo gone for that, but I heard this morning that one of DS's little friends is going as a pirate.

I think I'll get to Asda quick before all the ideas are taken!
