I have 9 of ds'3 babygrows that I like the patterns of (I bought the same set 3 x's as I liked them so much!) They are large strip, small stripe, tractors and planes 3 of each and the are all the same colouring so will go. I'd like to make a blanket for ds 3 (6 months)to have on the floor by cutting squares out from the babygrows.

What material would be good to back it with/add in as contrast square to make it bigger as babygrow fabris is T-shirt fabric and very stretchy. I love stiff cotton but this may scrunch in the wash and would the babygrow material sag after a while?

Any help appreciated!

how about some fleece? you could put a layer of wadding in between and make it into a quilt. that way it would be nice and soft to sit on.

it does sound a lovely idea tho.

Fleece does sound good and with the wadding it would be very snuggly!

I have cut out 10 x 10cm squares and to make more square I had cut small hearts out of the left overs that I will sew onto the middle of 10 x 10cm of white t-shirt fabric (from an old t-shirt)

Thanks for the help!
