Hair slides for decorating

DD has just come home with a sparkly hair slide (the springy, barette type) for which her pater paid a ridiculous amount of money at a craft fair.

It occurred to me that the Brownies could make something similar to sell at our Christmas fair, but I need (ideally) to find a source for the unadorned hair slides for us to decorate. I've just been looking around some jewellery and craft sites, with no success.

Any suggestions for other websites?

I bought plain ones from Asda to decorate for DD and DSD for Christmas. Think it's 10 for a £ if that's any help.

I get hairslides on ebay that have holes in the end so you can attach beads/flowers etc to them. I haven't looked for the barette types but there must be some on there!

I live in Australia so this might be no help at all....but my friend makes hair slides and she gets them from a haridressing supplies place.

I changed my search terms on ebay and then found some.

Thank you for all your suggestions.
