My DD is 2 and a half and I have a newborn so I'm looking for lots of things to do at home with her over the winter, specially as I'm BF and find it much easier to camp out at home - but don't want to bore her.

Any book ideas greatly appreciated!

this?

alternatively, I just keep a few tubs of different things to use on rainy days - got one filled with scraps of material, felt etc, another with feathers, some pompoms and various bits of card, glue, glitter etc.
Sewing shops are useful for interesting remnant material.
Or just go and puddle-splash!

Thanks - I use that box of stuff all the time so perhaps will keep it back for those special activities.. Added the bk to my wish list!

I found this one really useful when my kids were the same ages.

try something as simple as glue and cut out pictures of toys or anything from magazines and catalougues(sp?)

My ds loves playing with glue and the argos catalogue is great for cutting to bits! As is the elc and gltc ones!

Hope this helps!

Maryann Kohl is very good, try

First Art

as a start.
