Wristwarmers pattern please

Any recommendations?
I have made a pair of these for my daughter but she finds that the top keeps rolling down. Is there a way to stop this?
Could I cast off differently maybe?
Anyway I am looking for another pattern, one with a thumb.
TIA

There are lots of patterns on Ravelry for fingerless gloves/ wrist warmers.

Try sewing some fine elastic (shirring?) through the top of the glove.

Knit One, Embellish Too by Cosette Cornelius-Bates has a lot of wrist warmer patterns, some with thumbs. HTH.

Thanks. I joined Ravelry ages ago and haven't been on since. Forgot all about it.

Do you crochet? I'm hankering after making these but can't afford any nice yarn at the moment. I made some plain black ones though for a friend, they are really nice.

I am making these today. I think it is from a WW1 pattern.

34 stitches on a size 6 needle, knit for 14 inches or so, cast off sew up the seam but leave a hole for the thumb.

I got the wool from various charity shops at roughly 10p per ball.
