Making crepe paper flowers

Hi, my grandmother used to make huge dramatic flowers using bamboo canes and crepe paper.
I had a few when I was a teenager so have a rought idea of how they were made but wondered if anyone knew of any instructions to make this type.
I have googled but just find more traditional crepe paper flowers.

Thanks for looking for me however when I said huge I meant like 3 feet high with bamboo canes. 10 inches across the flower perhaps. My gran could have gotten the idea out of some ancient magazine.

They were a bit rose like. But massive.

I think she made it up. Make one (experiment) and then write it down and sell it as a craft book!

Was it possible you were small at the time and they seemed bigger?

No. I had one as a teenager and it still seemed big.
