knitting- do i need to block a scarf?

that's it really.
it's a chunky knit simple affair, not much to resolve stitch-wise, but perhaps it might finish nicely if i block it?
or is it too much faff at this time of night....

it's for a present for tomorrow...

I wouldn't if you need to give it away tomorrow. I usually do block though because it just gives everything a nicer finish.

i've stuck some instructions onto it for her to do herself and she LOVED the scarf so quite pleased with myself!
Thanks for advice - i think you are right, it does give it a good finish.
