any craft potential in a pasta machine?!

Have been given one to use or freecycle. Was about the freecycle it without even thinking, but then wondered if there was anything enjoyably crafty that could be done with one - ds 2.6 loves turning handles etc.
Anyone ever done anything crafty with a pasta machine?

you could make pasta!

Fimo - you can use a pasta machine with that to soften it and blend colours (or make stripy stuff etc.)

well i know i can make pasta but oh dear the idea just fills me with misery... happy to make bread, cake, jam, almost anything else from scratch, but pasta?? the instant convenience food? i can't find it in myself...

fimo, that's an idea.

anyone else ever used one for anything?

would play dough go through it, do you think?

I'll watch this with interest but if you do decide to get rid of it, I make stuff out of sculpey clay and could do with a pasta machine for preparing the clay. I'll take it off your hands for cost of postage to Bristol?
