to mend a hole in a fine knit jumper? I don't think it's a big hole (it's a friends who is distraught).

Neither of us can sew. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This can usually be done quite easily if it's only a small hole. Has the knit been pulled accross the jumper IYSWIM, or is it just a small hole?

You can probably get a matching thread, something like an embroidery silk , where you are bound to get a good colour match. Then loop around the broken stitches, keeping in the pattern of the knit.

Do you know anyone who knits/sews?
