Any jewellery makers?

I've asked before but didnt get much response so trying again.

are you looking for company (as in fellow jewellery makers) or for a maker to make for you?

Have to say that I don't do either, but I figure if you get a reply post then others will become curious and post too.

The questions were serious though!

There were at least 2 people in the small ads who made jewelery - at leas one of whom I thought was a MNer prior to the ad,

I have just started making myself and wanted to share ideas, tips etc. I am a real beginner!

There was an article on This Morning about jewellery making, some of her stuff looked fab and she sold the kits/beads etc to do it all. might be worth checking their website.

ive just started looking into this firstly as a hobby and hopefully as a business in the future.ive made some simple bits before but now looking into perhaps ding a silversmith course and a design course as well.bead jewellery is something ive done for myself for years and ive had some nice comments about pieces ive made so ive finally decided to take it further.

i hope you have as much fun as im hoping to,and perhaps we can swap tips etc.

I see this is an old thread but, where in the country are you? I used to do a jewellery making course at Cleveland collage of art and design and it was aimed at beginners and really good, if you're not in the area, check your local art collage for inspiration, good luck!
