Have been wondering about this for a while, does anyone know where the cheapest place to buy it? Is it really easy to use?

Morals, What are they.
Those peices of plastic they call "accu-crease" are made in Taiwan properly children in sweats shops made them for about 5p shipped over here for about £1.00 and once the shops have bought them to sell, are sold to us with a 700% make up and not to forget the 5% make up we pay on all goods in all shops to cover the lose due to shop lifter.
Don't talk to me about morals, sweetie. I collect for christian aid

Carolinett · 15/05/2005 10:28

I should of said pieces of wood not plastic

SoupDragon · 15/05/2005 11:23

Er... you've completely grasped the wrong end of the stick!! I added "Obviously making it up from a picture from the internet and a folded piece of paper is so much more moral!" with the emphasis on the so and an exclamation mark because clearly it isn't! That was the point. Sorry you misunderstood.

And don't call me sweetie

grrrrrrrr

SoupDragon · 15/05/2005 11:50

It's very easy to misinterpret postings though.

Had I said it it would have been accompanied by rolling eyes and huge emphasis on the "so" and followed by a laugh. Which would have been clear!

I've cooled down now & I'm not normally confrontational but no mater how many times I read it, which I did several times in the first place, just to see if it was me. I even asked my husband and my daughter to read it. I feel ashamed that I?m using this happy, fun loving site to stress a point but I can?t let it go.
The words "is so much more moral" and you have emphasised "so" cannot have any meant anything else.
Look up the word moral, below are the replacement words for moral.
Decent,
Ethical
Honest
Honourable
Proper
I rest my case
It doesn?t make any difference if I?m new or not or it was said in jest, you don?t now me SD. I thought this talk site was to help one another with craft ideas not to make condescending comments.
The word "Sweetie" is used as a term of endearment. Perhaps SD you?ve had a case of miss interpenetration
Anyway I?ve taken my drama queen outfit off.
AQ I have not stopped any emails coming through it?s [email protected]

anorak · 15/05/2005 13:08

Carolinett, soupy was just making a throwaway joke with heavy sarcasm on the word 'moral' - which was more self-deprecating than anything else. Why on earth would she say something like that in a serious way? I often make throwaway jokes thinking I will make people chuckle a bit and find I may have used a phrase that could be misinterpreted, it's so easily done.

As she says, we can't see each others' faces on here, so please believe that she was only joking, even if you didn't perceive it as a joke at the time

SoupDragon · 15/05/2005 13:13

I'm sorry you are unable to interpret irony, Carolinett. I'm not sure where you get condescending from - other than your use of the word "sweetie" when talking to me. That's the only condescending remark I can find. I doubt you were using a term of endearment when talking to me given that you mistakenly thought I was insulting you.

I'm also sorry I tried to explain and, in fact, went to great lengths to contact you to try to explain as soon as I saw the misunderstanding. You don't know me at all either and therefore have no idea how mortified I was that you'd misundertood.

Read the again with a sarcastic, tongue in cheek tone of voice and add a on the end. It's so obviously irony - the process I was describing is clearly no more moral than yours!! That was the whole point! How could it be anything other than ironic? Buying an item, copying it and then returning the item whilst lying for the reason is no less Decent, ethical, Honest, Honourable or
Proper than looking at pictures of an item and making a copy.

I'm not going to persue this or beg you to stay. I've explained, I've apologised, I've done this several times by several different means. You don't want to accept my apologie and explanations? Fine, that's your perogative. I hpe you continue to use Mumsnet and participate in the challenges - it woulsd be silly for you to miss out on these things because of a misunderstanding.

Carolinett · 15/05/2005 13:33

Ok, you couldn?t have apologised enough I agree & I apologise to you lots of times for not having a sense of humour.
I?ll just learn a lesson not give away my really naughty crafty tips in public.
