Is anyone any good at digital art?

If so would you like a commission?

I've hand drawn an image that I would like to use as a company logo. I need to make the image digital but don't have a clue where to start. The image is 2 cartoon penguins, so quite simple.

I'm happy to pay for your services if anyone could do it... bit of a long shot I know. I've cross posted this into geeky stuff too, hope that's ok.

Thanks.

I have done this in teh past for another MNetter - but I am really busy ATM.

All I did then was to draw the image - preferably at the same image size as you want to use. Then scan it in and I just used to some photo editing software to touch it up, brighten etc.

If you don't have any joy in the next couple of weeks give me a shout and I will have a look.

BTW I didn't actually generate any of the art - I just converted her existing hand drawn image to a jpeg format (well I did tweak it - but I am not the preson to CREATE art although it sounds as though you have that side covered)

Hi perfectperfect, I basically need someone to turn it into a professional looking logo rather than a scanned JPG if that makes sense?

At the minute it's just a black and white sketch and I was hoping I could get someone to colour it in and make it look more professional IYSWIM?

That is pretty much what I did previously.

Is the sketch literally a sketch on which to base a design - or is the outline the actual outline you want to use?

CAT me (or leave your email) and I will send you a jpeg of the logo I did for DP. I will also see if I can send you a copy of the logo I did for another MNetter (I will need to ask her permission first of course).

I have put my DPs logo on my profile. Ir has come out a bit grainy on teh MN server but it isn't like that in the original jpeg.

Hiya,

my DH does alot of stuff like this, not professionally but personally, he is very good with photoshop etc

he said he is happy to do it

navyeyelasH · 25/05/2009 20:49

Perfectperfect, I can't see any pictures on your profile if you can email it to me would be great. [email protected] is best.

Disenchanted3, is it possible to do it in photoshop? I know how to use photoshop but assumed you'd have to use illustrator/corell or somehting similar as it would have to be a vector?

I could be wrong though as I tend to use photoshop for photography IYSWIM.

Hmm....yes a vector can give a more scaleable finish - but so long as you work in photoshop at the size you want the final logo it is fine - which is why I suggest that the line drawing is at the same size as teh final scale - which is the mistake I made with my first.

I would do it in GIMP - which is an opensource version of Photoshop.

Emailing you now.

BTW I am not professional either. Like Disenchanted's DH I just enjoy tinkering with photoshop
