Morning,

I have been given the task of organising a stall for charity at the local Summer Fete in June and am looking for ideas please.

We have discussed raffle/home baking/books & cd's. I am making small necklaces for girls at pocket money prices. Do you have any further ideas that could help me - something that doesnt have a lot of out costs as my set up budget is very, very limited.

I appreciate all your help in this.

What about small craft kit?
or little felt bags/purses for kids?
hair bands with felt flowers attached?
felt book mark kit with extra shapes in to stick on?
Lucky Dip?
Catch a duck?
treasure map? (We did one of our local village and then put squares across and sold the squares)
How many sweets in jar (or something slightly more healthy)
Weight of the cake?
Name the teddy/doll?

Agree with all of those things. My dd is almost 5 and has gone mad for craft recently. I think if you don't charge mor ethan 3 or 4 pounds for a little kit (make-it-yourself felt purses and spoon people have been a big hit here) then you'll be onto a winner. Or get a joblot of beads and sell them for a few pence each, get some elastic and they can make their own jewellery. We went to a fete recently where they had rich tea biscuits and those little ready made icing tubes and you paid 50p to decorate a biscuit?

A Jam Jar Tombola?

Get lots of empty jam jars and get people to fill them with donated goods (eg. sweets, craft bits and pieces, hair bands & clips, new socks, stickers, mini pens etc.)

Then decide on how many should be winning jars according to what sort of profit you want to make (eg. any even number or any number ending with a 0 or 5), attach tickets and away you go.

This is always the first stall to sell out at our fete.
