anyone know where i could get some? am making quilts for new babies but i know you can't give babies actual quilts because of overheating. so i figured, if i could get some really lightweight wadding, i could make a quilt that compared to a gro-bag weight-wise. if that makes any sense at all.

so, i guess anything up to 2.5 tog would presumably be alright. otherwise will just make a patchwork piece and back it with fleece. but it would be nice to make a proper quilt

would be so grateful for any ideas

Hi

My mum makes quilts for new borns and prem babies and uses cotton sheets as the middle layer or sometimes just 2 layers instead of 3.

As an alternative do just 2 layers and use fleece as the bottom layer as it is warmer than a sheet but not too heavy as you have said. We have a quilt with a fleece backing on our bed at home and it is quite warm and the kids have the same for winter time.
