Can a complete sewing machine virgin make a cloth kits skirts?

After reading another thread I decided to have a nosey at the cloth kits site and OMG I love this skirt more than any clothes I have ever seen, obviously it is expensive if I would make a complete balls up of it. Do you think I couldmake it, my mum has a sewing machine I could borrow and I am sure she would help me.

That looks really easy to me. When you borrow your mum's sewing machine, let her explain and show you how to use it and practise on a few bits of material that don't matter until you get a nice neat seam.
It will help if she has a zipperfoot on her machine, because it looks as if it will have a zip at the back. Not difficult, but again you might like to practise on setting in an old zip in a bit of material that doesn't matter.
It will look fantastic when it's done.

see if you can find a cheap piece of fabric from the markets or cut up and old sheet exactly the same size as your pattern and have a go on this. You will also see if it fits or not. if it looks ok go for it on the real thing.
