TG....the sizzix is only 34.95 on ebay.....and i think you get a ?free or half price die....hold on I'll check.....brb!!!

Dingle · 28/04/2005 20:20

I think if you were to choose only one, I was advise of the sizzix. With a sizzix you can buy convertor to cut other dies from most other machines...etc...a sizzix will cut sizzlets with adaptations (I think) but a sidekick will only cut sizzlets and not other dies (!!!!) If this is right, IMO it's worth paying the extra and having more options available in the long run!

Check up on the sizzix site, I think there is also quite a bit of info on Cheapdies site.

Arghhhhhhh!!!!! Why wont my link work?????

Anyway you get free P&P on any dies and they start from £37.95 on ebay.

I'd go for the sizzix.....and then as you gain confidence you can invest in the converters and add to your collection.

hi yorkie a \link{http://www.sizzix.com/shop.cfm?function=detail&ProductItemNumber=38-9730&/side kick} is a much smaller, lighter machine as metioned it can only use sizzlet dies. The sizzix can use it's on dies plus sizzlets with a sizzix convertor. There is also a diff convertor that isn't by sizzix with which you can use all different types of dies.
The sidekick is ok if you dont think you'll get much use out of a sizzix or if you want to take it about with you but i'd pay the extra few pounds to get the sizzix.

Please dont let me lead you to a decision
(buy it)
I really wouldn't want to sway you.
(go no!!)
You may not wish to buy such an expensive item.
(get it, I love mine)

YorkieGirl, I thought I would save money by buying on ebay, and I know that I did. BUT, I still spent £114, because of the temptation of the dies being P&P free when you buy the sizzix machine!![greed]

I convinced myself that it made sense to buy a few now, and then wait a while before buying any more! Then, when I cannot contain my credit card any longer, I'd buy perhaps and alphabet set, and get a few more dies P&P free at the same time...

It sounded good to me, but can I control myself!!!

Do you want me to send you a few dies to play with, to help you make your mind up!
