Best way to make a Ben 10 tshirt ?

I want to make a replica Ben 10 t shirt for DS to wear to a party. Cant find any Uk ones on ebay - only shirts with Ben 10 on them rather than shirts like the one he wears.

I was thinking I could try to stitch black webbing down the front and around the collar and arms of a standard white tshirt - but with my stitching could end up looking a bit messy - especially around the collar. I'm also wondering about just getting a black marker pen and filling in with that - but that could look even worse and certainly wouldn't wash well - not that that's a big issue mind you....

So - what do you reckon? How would you do it?

My local Tescos has loads of Ben 10 costumes on sale at the moment - I think they cost about £12.

How about using a white T shirt as a base, and a second black T shirt the same sort of size (cheap/old), then just cut out the black bits you need for the collar and arms and front bit and discard the rest. If you used black thread to zigzag the in place, they should look pretty neat and not fray...

Thanks for all the suggestions - I've plumped for a costume from www.partydomain.co.uk - it was probably cheaper than making one myself and comes with trousers too. Dont like to think where/how it was made at that price, but my ds is going to be thrilled.
