I am working on crazy patchwork quilt and then I am going to embelish it with embroidery. My lecturer thinks it is looking very contenporary and wants me to do contemporary stitching on it

I am a bit lost and looking for inspiration help

my Mum thinks it is all very granny-fied until she sess what I have done, hehe

was sort of going for the 'ethnic' look on this one but it looks so modern, even with my batiks in it. So weird

You could do large stitches in colours that match or contrast with the quilt. Large feather stitches in a contrasting colour near or on where the patches join would look contemporary.

Also large chain stitches in the middle of a patch, perhaps picking up on the shape of a print in one of the patches.
